Decorating Easter Eggs Part 2: Watercolor Painted Eggs

Hi everyone! Welcome to part 2 of my Easter Eggs {see part 1 here}! This method was a lot more fun and in line with the things I enjoy to do! It's not secret that I love watercolors and I figured.. Why not paint my eggs with watercolor?

I chose some pictures of favorite flowers and roughly modeled my paintings after them. Painting on eggshell is a little different than paper so I warn you there! After a few brush strokes you get the hang of it though, and {bonus} if you mess up, you can just wash it off and start again!

These just felt so much like springtime and made me so happy! They are delicate and elegant and I think they would make great centerpieces or table decor for an Easter party!
All I did was hard boil the eggs, waited for them to cool, and then started painting away with  my detail brush! I love doing tiny paintings so this was really fun for me! You should try it!

So there you have it, my second idea for cleaner Easter eggs! What ideas did you have this year? I saw some things online about natural ways to dye eggs, maybe I will try that next year!

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!

Wishing you a lovely little day!
